Description:
United Way of Central Jersey in Milltown is looking for a VISTA intern/Early Learning Coordinator to work on early learning initiatives for low-income children in Middlesex County ages 0-5. You will work on projects such as capacity building for childcare providers; promoting parental engagement in early education; and researching grants that support early learning programs. You also may be involved in social media efforts related to this work, as well as “Week of the Young Child” and Martin Luther King Day of Service activities. Learn more about AmeriCoprs VISTA here.
This is a full-time, one-year position with a modest stipend and federal government benefits.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old; U.S. citizens, nationals, or legal permanent resident aliens;
- Preference for those who have worked in culturally diverse communities, with some experience in early childhood development;
