Every day in Central Jersey people are lending their expertise, their muscle and their time to help maintain healthy communities. For opportunities to volunteer, please click "Get Involved" link above.
While working from home you can participate in Virtual Volunteering:
Saint Peter's University Hospital: Is in need of surgical masks and is asking volunteers to sew masks. The masks need to mold around the nose and have the ability to insert a filter. A tutorial to make such a mask is available by clicking here (this particular mask allows the use of elastic or ribbon). For additional information please contact Jim Choma at JChoma@saintpetersuh.com.

Story Time - volunteers record themselves (at home) reading kids books and sending us the videos so we can post on our social media for a daily story time. Submit your video to email@example.com.
Music Time – do you play a musical instrument? Are you willing to give virtual lessons to children who are at home during the health emergency? Record your lessons for grades 3-6 so we can post on our social media. Submit your video to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Virtual STEAM – do you know a STEAM project or activity that children can do at home with materials that may be available around the house? Tape yourself demonstrating a project and send it to us to post on our social media. Activities are needed for children from preschool through grade 6 Submit your video to email@example.com.
Social Media Ambassador – Help us get information out and amplify our impact on social media. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and repost our content to your networks. Sign up for our weekly Updates and forward to your own mailing list.
In Your Neighborhood:-- Call or text your neighbors (especially elderly neighbors) to make sure they’re doing okay. Ask if there is anything that they need (be it a box of tissues or a cup of sugar). If you have what they’re looking for, offer to leave it outside their front door so that they can pick it up without coming in direct contact with you. This is actually a great (and safe) way to make sure that your more vulnerable neighbors have what they need.
Become a Virtual Fundraiser – start an online fundraising page to support United Way’s COVID-19 Recovery Fund or become part of the fundraising team for an existing page like #FightForNJ
