United Way of Central Jersey Named a “Champion of Coverage” By the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

Milltown, NJ - United Way of Central Jersey has once again been named a “Champion for Coverage” by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Champions for Coverage are active in providing outreach and education about the Health Insurance Marketplace® and how consumers can enroll in health coverage through HealthCare.gov, Medicaid or CHIP.

The American Rescue Plan has reduced health coverage costs and 4 in 5 people are able to find coverage for $10 a month. Every health plan in the Marketplace offers the same set of essential health benefits, like doctor visits, preventive care, hospitalization, prescriptions, and more.

“This year more people than ever will qualify for the Affordable Care Act, and financial assistance has been expanded” said Gloria Aftanski, United Way President and Chief Professional Officer. “Even if you are currently covered through the Marketplace, it’s important to compare plans yearly to see if there is another plan better suited to your current needs.”

Open enrollment for 2022 will run from November 1, 2021 – January 15, 2022. You may apply for coverage as follows:
