Nourishing Young Minds by Feeding Young Bodies
United Way holds a national Day of Caring each year on June 21st, the longest day of the calendar year. As in recent years United Way of Central Jersey’s Day of Caring event will be a Summer Food Drive, “Nourishing Young Minds by Feeding Young Bodies”. Food packages will be distributed to families with young children in Middlesex County. There are several ways to be involved.
Individuals can host a drive at their workplace, business or community or by collecting items on their own and dropping them off at the United Way building on June 21st between 10:00 am and noon or between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Please register here if you will be donating food. In lieu of food items you may also make a financial donation through United Way’s secure website to support a family for a day, a week or more.
