OVER 1,000 STUDENTS RECEIVED SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Thirty-eight donors and eleven volunteers helped to provide school supplies worth $42,899 to 1,337 students at fourteen schools in Central Jersey including 300 backpacks delivered to first graders in Carteret schools. Thanks to all those who helped provide these supplies to low-income children, so they can start the year off right.

UWCJ held two school supplies fund raisers that included face painting and crafts, hot dogs provided by Applebees and drinks supplied by Snapple. WMGQ filled the air with dancing music at both events, and donors stuffed a yellow school bus provided by First Student Bus Company.

Backpacks included notebooks, rulers, folders, a pencil box with pencils, a sharpener, crayons, eraser, glue stick and more.
