Every year United Way of Central Jersey (UWCJ) runs an Annual Fundraising Campaign and the most common question asked is, “Where does the money go?”
UWCJ breaks down all investments into three categories that encompass areas of concern within our community. This breakdown reflects the results of the community needs analysis completed by volunteers. Investments are made to achieve specific goals in programs and initiatives with measured results.
By focusing on defined areas, greater impact can be achieved.
Our Community Impact Agenda:
- Education – Helping Children and Youth Achieve Their Potential
- Income – Promoting Financial Stability and Independence
- Health – Improving People’s Health
Some community investors are drawn to one or two categories more than the others and have the option to designate any portion of their donation to that category. Others do not designate to a specific category which enables the volunteers at UWCJ to focus those donations into the categories of greatest need. Our Community Impact Fund provides UWCJ members with the ability to combine donations, so that they are working together for greatest impact.
