This year the following organizations contributed baby supplies for new, low-income mothers.

Johnson & Johnson - Corporate
IBM Corporation
Target - Milltown
Bank of America - Easton Avenue
Catalent Pharma Solutions
Fedex Ground
Cadbury Schweppes
DuPont - Parlin
Paychex, Inc.
Cardinal HealthCare
JC Penney – East Brunswick

Supplies included baby food, formula, bottles, clothing, diapers, baby wash, shampoo, blankets, etc.

These materials will be distributed to accredited non-profit Child Care Centers and to mothers participating in the Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) program.

This United Way of Central Jersey program implements a national model that consists of low-income, first-time mothers who receive a regular, in-home visit from a specially trained nurse. Research results indicate reductions in child abuse/neglect, mother arrests and increases in the period between first and second child among other results.

Please contact us for more information on how you can support efforts to improve conditions among low-income children during the crucial early years.
