2008 ADOPT A FAMILY PROGRAM
There were 402 families adopted in the 2008 Holiday Gift Program consisting of 1,071 children and 360 adults. All families had to be receiving state support in order to qualify to receive gifts.
In one family we contacted, Mom was in the hospital with tuberculosis. We spoke with the eldest child and arranged to deliver the holiday gifts. Mom got out of the hospital and is OK now.
Thanks to the kindness and generosity of the following, 1,431 people in need received a gift to make their holiday period more joyful.
