2015-2016 Request for Propoals

Technical Assistance Training

November 5, 2015

On Wednesday, November 5, 2014, the United Way of Central Jersey (UWCJ) will hold a Technical Assistance Workshop from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Middlesex County Fire Academy to review the 2015-2016 funding process. A light breakfast will be provided in the MCFA dining room at 9:00 am.

The workshop is mandatory for all agencies that anticipate submitting a proposal for program support for the July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 funding year. Chief Professional Officers, Chief Volunteer Officers, agency program, grant writing and finance staff are strongly encouraged to attend.

UWCJ, in conjunction with United Way Worldwide, works to advance the common good by focusing on the building blocks for a good life, Education, Health and Income. The UWCJ Board has a particular emphasis on children, recognizing that every child needs a safe and supportive home, good health and a good education in order to successfully grow and develop into a productive, contributing member of our society.

UWCJ will only consider requests for funding through its annual RFP process to support operating costs for evidence-based programs that fall into one of the following issue areas:

Children Ready to Succeed
Ensures healthy development and school readiness of children 0 to 5 years old.

Youth on Track
Prepares youth ages 6-18 to become accountable adults

Families Living Well
Ensures that families with children are healthy and economically self sufficient,
safe and protected.

Emergency Services
Provides critical time-limited support for children, youth and families with children

Please RSVP to Patricia Desiderio at 732-247-3727 ext. 23 or by email to pdesiderio@uwcj.org no later than October 30, 2014.

PLEASE NOTE: The deadline for Letters of Intent is November 17, 2014 and, if invited to apply, the deadline for submission of proposals is February 3, 2015.

United Way does not accept unsolicited proposals. Only those programs that have attended the training workshop on November 5th, submitted a Letter of Intent and been invited to submit a full proposal are eligible to participate.
